I can not remap or use certain keys and mouse buttons in GTA IV. I want to use the right mouse button to move forward on food controls, but it will not let me use it. I am able to map the right mouse button to some other foot controls, just not move forward, and I am able to map it to accelerate for driving controls.
Windows XP SP3. Intel® HD graphics. Intel i3 3.30 GHz. 2.85 GB Ram. When I run GTA SA the mouse can only be used to highlight the options but cannot be used to select it. Neither can I use the mouse to move the camera or to do actions specified to the respective mouse buttons nor can I use the scroll wheel. Please help me as I want to play
Additionally, although I don't know if it's related, whenever I get in a car with hydraulics, the front is constantly pointed upwards, when I was playing months ago I frequently encountered a problem where the mouse camera would not work at all, and in My grand theft auto 3 the problem is even worse as even out of aiming my gun my camera is
The only way to accomplish that is by using a third party software, such as San Andreas Advanced Control, Pinnacle, Xpadder or anything similar. I managed to make it work perfectly with my Xbox 360 wired controller (no force feedback though) using SAAC and the XBCD driver but I had to downgrade the gta-sa.exe. Silent Aug 4, 2016 @ 2:42am. Without downgrading and installing GInput, you should be able to do so by setting Controller Mode to Joypad in Controls Setup - but then, the mouse becomes unusable. As far as I'm aware, there is no win-win solution w/out GInput, unless you go back and forth to the menus every time you want to switch from controller
