All Nissan LEAF models have had Apple CarPlay as standard equipment since 2020, while the 2018 and 2019 versions only had smartphone integration in the higher SV, SL, and Plus trims. The first-generation Nissan LEAF manufactured from 2010 to 2017 did not have Apple CarPlay.
I believe carolay wasn't widely adopted by Nissan, at least in the US, until 2018. Some of the higher trim levels in 2017 might have had it though. I bought wire. I has CarPlay through wire. Not remotely. Then you should be able to just plug it in and it works. If nothing happens either your cable is bad, or your car doesn't have Carplay. mimipoppy75. 3 weeks with 2022 Pathfinder. No initial issues with Apple Carplay. Updated my iPhone 12 Pro to IOS 15. Carplay did not entirely break but have issue initiating music source from touchscreen (wireless or wired). Can initiate Amazon Music and MyTunerRadio app from phone and then the touchscreen allows control.
